Foundation Kicks Off Women’s History Month with $1 Million Donation from Creative Leader Jessica Teal

WASHINGTON, D.C (March 3, 2025) – In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation announced today a $1 million donation from Jessica Teal, Founder and Principal of creative firm Teal Media. Jessica Teal’s transformative gift included a new website, new branding, and digital marketing campaign for the Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation, driven by the creative force of the Teal Media team.

“With the generosity of Jessica Teal and the creative vision of Teal Media, we have created a visual identity for the Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation that is as bold and unyielding as the suffragists,” said Anna Laymon, President and CEO of the Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation. “Teal Media’s work captures the collective strength of the women’s suffrage movement, with the beauty and dignity that our foremothers deserve.”

When asked what led her to make such an extraordinary commitment to the Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation, Jessica Teal felt the answer was simple:

“I was shocked when I learned that there is not a single monument on the National Mall that honors the achievements of women. And when you see something that’s not right, you don’t just sit around, you do something about it.”

Laymon added, “Jessica Teal understands the critical importance of mission-driven giving. At the heart of the monument is an invitation to all Americans to be a part of something bigger. Jessica’s transformative gift is an answer to that invitation, and we extend to her our deepest gratitude for her support.”

The Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation is driven by the generous financial support of our donors. Like most monuments and memorials, the Women’s Suffrage National Monument will be funded in its entirety through private donations, and we need your support to tell the stories of generations of women who waged and won the battle for the ballot. Simply put, we can’t do this without you. Learn more about our movement, donate, and be a part of history.
