Patricia Taft

Patricia Taft is a commentator, writer, and entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of civics, culture, and modern life. A great-granddaughter of President William Howard Taft and granddaughter of Senator Robert A. Taft, she is a proud member of the historic Taft political dynasty, bringing a uniquely personal lens to conversations around American democracy, legacy, and representation.

Patricia has been featured in The Washington Post, USA Today, Business Insider, Raw Story, and the White House Historical Association’s podcast, where she shares insights on presidential legacy, civic storytelling, and the evolving role of First Families in American life.

She currently serves on the Membership Nominating Committee for the National Women’s Suffrage Monument Foundation, and sits on the boards of both the National First Ladies Day initiative and the Society of Presidential Descendants. Patricia is also a frequent panelist for the National Cherry Blossom Foundation, where she contributes to public conversations that celebrate diplomacy, heritage, and cultural symbolism tied to the presidency and her great-grandmother’s role as First Lady.
