“This picture is inspiring because despite not having equality, women still chose to protest to get the right to vote. Women won the right to vote just a little over 100 years ago, and it’s exciting to know that I will be able to vote once I turn 18. Women’s voices and ideas are just as important as men’s and it’s important to not limit a person because of their gender. The Women’s Suffrage Monument is a reminder that ordinary people can make big changes.”
